North Wolf 100% wool buffing pads are for painting correction, coarse goat wool material for the heavy cutting process,  apply with heavy compound for high-speed cutting work to remove the deep scratch.  The hard backing type does not spin off when polishing with heat building up in a dual-action machine.  Good balance to work with DA, RO, and GA polisher. Suggest applying with NORTH WOLF backing plate for a perfect performance.
