Claying can improve the look and condition of a car, making it more appealing and protecting its surface. Claying a car is recommended once or twice a month, depending on the amount of impurities and the level required of protection.

Claying has recently become a popular issue and many people are curious about "why." Why is it necessary to clay my car? As we have already mentioned, brake dust, industrial waste, air pollution and even overspray can all be airborne contaminants which can adhere to the paint on your car or truck. If they are stuck inside the car, you can clean them with car dashboard polish. They are usually not visible to the naked eye, they stick to your paint and are difficult to remove using soap and water.

In car detailing, the "claying" process is used. Claying has traditionally been done with a clay bar made of a soft resin material, usually synthetic. Its gummy/sticky surface and similar pliability as modelling clay makes it ideal for removing paint impurities that have been embedded or stuck on.
