Skoda unveils the latest Fabia hatchback fourth generation for foreign markets worldwide earlier this week. The Skoda Fabia is assisted by the MQB-A0 Architecture of Volkswagen Group and represents a major leap in scale, appearance, interior and features, as well as the motorway department compared with its predecessor. The latest Skoda Fabia has a length of 4,107 mm, a width of 1,780 mm, a height of 1,460 mm and a 2,564 mm wheel foundation. TSI engine of higher spec
The 1.0L TSI engine will be mounted next up and both in tune two states – 95hp/175Nm and 110hp/200Nm. While a 5-speed manual gearbox comes with the former, the latter is sold with a 6-speed manual or an automatic 7-speed DSG transmission. Fabia will run from 0-100 km/h in a matter of 9. 5 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 205 km/h using a 1.0L TSI 7-speed DSG powertrain.
Plans for the future
The TSI 4-cylinder cards for many overseas markets also have a larger 1.5L motor. This motor generates peak torque of 150hp and 250Nm. At a later date, a mild-hybrid drive may also be released.
